Make it stand out.

  • Harpswell, Maine

Harpswell is a gorgeous area on the coast of Maine. Visitors to this area are met with multiple opportunities to interact with the coast. All of the places we visited in this vlog have no associated costs both to enjoy the locations as well as to park. In this Family Adventure Vlog, we visited the Cribstone Bridge, Land’s End, and Devil’s Back Trail Area. Each of these destinations offer unique, memorable experiences and views.

I will forever be mesmerized by the Cribstone Bridge, also referred to as the Bailey Island Bridge. It’s structure is stunning. Land’s End is another gorgeous spot located right on the water’s edge, complete with a gift shop! Devil’s Back Trail Area was new to our family, but I am certain we will return. We were able to see seals at the end of one of the trails here and it was a magical encounter!

  • Lighthouses in Maine

Join us as we visit Portland Breakwater Lighthouse, more commonly known as Bug Light, the Liberty Ship Memorial, Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse and Fort Preble in Casco Bay, Maine!

A strong wind and rain storm whipped through Maine in late December of 2022 and the coast was hit the hardest. We observed minimal damage, in the form of washed up debris, at Bug Light. But we encountered intense damage just one mile away at Fort Preble, where many enormous granite blocks had been displaced and debris was scattered about everywhere. Sea glass, both small and large chunks, as well as a variety of other materials were unearthed in this storm. Visitors to Fort Preble took to collecting these items on a displaced granite block. Our children enjoyed this collection site and may have either added to or taken a few items during their visit.

These four locations are all located within a mile of one another and make for a great afternoon itinerary if you’re hoping to see some of Maine’s beauty and historical locations during a visit to this incredible state. Or if you live in Maine and have not visited one or more of these locations, here’s your encouragement to do so!
