One of the educational resources you’ll find at The B’s Business is a series of timers dedicated to each state within the United States. These timers are part of my Educational Timers US States Collection. Over the next few months I will be working on creating and producing timers for all of the 50 US States. The timers in this collection are available in 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 minute increments.

My goal in creating this series is to help fellow educators maximize time spent with students by packing learning into even the simplest aspects of the school day. With this timer, and the others in this series, students gain knowledge related to the US States in just a glance. Turn your use of timers into an educational opportunity.

Each timer in this series features the shape of the state, the location of the state within the United States, the flag of the state, and some common state symbols. Minimal words result in less visual clutter and promote quick interpretation of the available information.

An additional educational resource you’ll find at The B’s Business is an entire series dedicated to Children’s Literature Reviews. My goal in producing this series is to help fellow educators and parents discover titles in children’s literature that are either meaningful, educational, inspirational or a combination of these.

To keep my reviews consistent I follow the same 5 step process with every review: 1. Share a few sentences that summarize the book, 2. Share what I like best about the book from the perspective of a parent and educator, 3. Share any constructive criticism I have for the book, 4. Summarize my overall review and share any final thoughts, and 5. Rate the book on a 1-10 scale with 1 being the lowest possible rating and 10 being the highest. On occasion I will add in a bonus 6th step; this step is when I give my own children, who I have read the book with, the opportunity to rate the book from their perspective.

Also at The B’s Business, you’ll find a wide variety of focus music options varying in lengths and genres, from 3 consecutive hours of classical music to 30 minutes or less of ambient music. These videos are part of a series on my channel called Focus Music Collection. These compilations of music are great to use in the classroom as well as when you are cooking, cleaning, studying, working, focusing on a task, working on homework, or while you do anything else! The videos in this collection are paired with cozy and calming scenes to further inspire you to feel at peace and ready to tackle whatever tasks are ahead of you.
